Puredistance Intoduces New Size

Puredistance is an independent company that works with master perfumers to create unique perfumes. Jan Ewoud Vos, the founder of Puredistance, works out all the necessary details of the concepts that inspire the perfumes. The perfumes are created in London and New York with the company’s main office in the Netherlands. Their products are available in a select number of luxury stores and perfumeries and they serve over twenty countries.

Puredistance has finally introduced a larger format for their current line of pure perfume extrait. The new 100 ml bottles will be available for all three of Puredistance’s perfumes: launched in 2007 was 1 and in December 2010 both Antonia and M were introduced. Many fans of this niche house have been awaiting the arrival of a larger size and found the original introduction size underwhelming and over priced. Originally, the three fragrances were issued in a 17.5 ml flacon that retailed for $198. Even though this product is 25% pure perfume, many wanted a better designed bottle that was easier to use and store. The 17.5 ml flacon looked a little like a test tube with a sprayer at one end. Its design was more like a travel atomizer. The base of the flacon was not flat so this format does not stand up. It’s not the most practical of perfume bottles but it was the only format available at the time.

The new 100 ml bottle retails for $590. The original introduction cost about $11.32 a milliliter, and the new 100 ml bottle is definitely less expensive and more practical at $5.90 per milliliter. These pure perfume extracts are expensive but well worth the price considering the natural material used and the overall quality and longevity of the fragrances.

The question now asked by perfume collectors and enthusiasts, why did Puredistance choose to produce these perfumes in 100 ml bottles when a 50 ml introduction would have been sufficient? Considering that these pure perfume extraits are 25% concentrates, you need to use very little to get the desired effect. Many customers might not be able to justify spending $590 on such a large amount of pure perfume.

The following list describes the notes for each of Puredistance’s pure perfume extracts. You can currently purchase any of the Puredistance products at Lucky Scent’s online store.
