Lucky Scent’s Decennial

Decennial_Lucky Scent

To celebrate their tenth anniversary, Lucky Scent has introduced a special edition of fragrances entitled Decennial. The collection pays tribute to their beloved city of Los Angeles and where Lucky Scent got its start. There are four offerings in the collections from a couple of familiar names in the fragrance world, Jérôme Epinette and Andy Tauer. This collection is referred to by Lucky Scent as a day in the life of Los Angeles. The collection’s concept is intended to embody the city’s energy, laid-back nature, diversity, complexity and controversy. Each of the four fragrances touches upon a different part of the city’s personality.

Notes: Almond, Cumin, Rhubarb, Cistus, Violet, Blond Woods, Black Amber, Praline
Perfumer: Jérome Epinette

Jérôme Epinette tries to epitomize the LA nightlife with Nuit Epicée. This fragrance starts with a bit of tart rhubarb but moves quickly to a dark aromatic, resinous wood with faint traces of sweet almond and a warm amber base. Like Los Angeles itself, Nuit Epicée plays to both the light-hearted and serious personalities of the LA nightlife.

Notes: Ginger, Elemi, Incense, White Musks, Papyrus, Australian Sandalwood
Perfumer: Jérome Epinette

Jérôme Epinette takes the concept of serenity, Los Angeles-style, and creates a meditative invoking fragrance for both the body and mind. Santal Sacré is hoped to counter-balance the hectic day-to-day of LA life.

Notes: Bergamot, Rose, Green Lily, Dry Cistrose, Iris Root, Ambergris, Dry Cedar
Perfumer: Andy Tauer

Andy Tauer’s creation is based on his visits to Joshua Tree National Forest while the Desert Lily was in full bloom in the Pinto Basin. Lys du Desert’s scent structure hints at a fresh green quality layered with dry ambery woods, powdery iris root and fragrant creosote bush and pine. The fusion of these elements make this flower and desert theme complete.

Notes: Saffron, Cinnamon Bark, Lavender, Heliotrope, Black Rose, Cedarwood, Beach Birch, Oak Moss
Perfumer: Jérome Epinette

Jérôme Epinette takes the essence of bourbon whiskey, with its creamy, woody and floral qualities, and refashions these elements into a rich fragrance. Spicy wood and creamy saffron with floral and herbal notes of lavender and helioptope give Bois Bourbon a luxurious quality.

If you are interested in sampling any of the new Decennial fragrances, a quartet sample pack is now available through Lucky Scent’s online store.
