Another David Lynch perfume commercial? Yes, that’s right, another David Lynch perfume commercial. Then again, how many could there possibly be?

This perfume commercial for Giorgio Armani was directly by David Lynch and contains all his classic Lynch hallmarks, many of which can be seen in movies such as Blue Velvet, Wild at Heart, and Mulholland Drive. Oh and let’s not forget Eraserhead. Apparently, Armani called Lynch asking him if he might have some ideas for a new woman’s perfume he was introducing. Lynch sent his concept for the commercial as a poem and Armani liked it, and the rest is history

The crazy fruity-floral powerhouse, Giò was created by Giorgio Armani in 1992. The perfume’s name is derived from the affectionate nickname given to Giorgio by his close friends,  who call he simply Giò. Giò is certainly a classic of the times. If this was a favorite of yours, good luck finding any today. It wasn’t too long after its demise that Giorgio Armani introduced Acqua di Giò in 1995.
